Black Iris

Black Iris is a new poetry journal founded by Sarah Gibbons and Lauren Thomas. We publish poetry and essays from both established and emerging writers. We welcome poetry on any subject. We would particularly like to read poems that address contemporary issues – the personal, the political or the environmental. We tend towards the lyrical, although we will look at any style of poem that is saying something important, and saying it well.
